On a sunny spring evening, an average sized pack turned up at the stand-in hare's abode on Nordnes in time for run #1254. At 7 PM 'ON-OUT' was called and the pack set off on what could be classified as a short to medium (at least for us) length trail.

Having crossed the fish market, the trail took us in the direction of Bergenhus festning (fortress). At the main gate, one of the three pooches flopped to the ground and was not able to continue. He was diagnosed love sick (one of the other pooches was in heat) and Flip-Flop assisted Check Me Out in carrying the pooch home. The pooch must weigh at least 40 kilos so Flip-Flop draped him like a sack of potatoes on his shoulders before setting off.

The rest of the pack continued through Bergenhus festning and up the steps to Sverresborg before heading ON-ON to the first drink stop at Dr. Wiesener. After a while the pooch rescuers turned up. After an as always all too short drink stop, we were sent on our way past Mariakirken along Øvregaten and ON-ON to the next drink stop at Vågen pub.

Lo and behold, two new hashers joined us at the drink stop, Bambi who had had to work late (on a Wednesday!!!), and Abominator who preferred running around in the mountains with his buddies, for which he was punished later on in the circle.

The trail back to the ON-INN was a shortish and meandering affair. In the circle two hapless hashers, Guinea Pig and Coming With Turtles, were punished with teabags for turning up in new shoes. Three hashers, Dog Handler, Comes Every Time and Foggy Glasses, were celebrated for having represented Bergen (and Mons) with style at the Belgian Nash Hash last weekend.

The evening was rounded off with excellent nosh, washed down with some beer.
